Vision

With over thirty years of experience and continuing education, my vision is to provide the ultimate client collaboration venue (individually or with a team of professional design partners) to provide the highest quality and creative interior  solutions, based on that collaborative endeavor.

 

Background

Amy was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky and has spent her career devoted to the pursuit of interior design excellence in the commercial market.She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Housing and Interior Design in 1975.

In 1981, she co-founded Interior Design & Architecture, Inc. (ID&A, inc.) with three other partners and in 1991 she left to develop the Louisville office of theIndianapolis basedRowland Design, Inc.(RDI), where she remained until 2004.

In 2004, she began Amy Wilson Eley, LLC, a commercial interior planning and design consultancy,of which she was the sole managing member.In 2007, Amy joined Bittners, LLC as vice president of the commercial division through July, 2009.She then reinstated Amy Wilson Eley, LLC.

Amy has served on the interior design advisory boards of the University of Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky University and Sullivan College of Technology and Design; and has served on the boards of professional organizations such as Institute of Business Designers (IBD), presently known as International Interior Designers’ Association (IIDA), International Facilities Management Association (IFMA),and Kentucky Arts & Crafts Foundation (KACF), presently known as Kentucky Museum of Arts &Crafts (KMAC).

In 2009, she became a LEED accredited professional (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) as a commercial interiors specialist and in 2010 became an officer on the communications committee for the United States Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Kentucky chapter.  Also in 2010, Amy was invited to join Sullivan College of Technology and Design as adjunct faculty for the Interior DesignProgram.
